Course introduction
The RYA Adult Level 2 is the next step in the RYA Adult Sailing Scheme, following Level 1. This 2-day course is designed for sailors who have completed Level 1 and are ready to take their skills to the next level. You will learn how to sail a boat confidently in a range of conditions, develop your ability to make decisions on the water, and improve your boat handling techniques. This course also focuses on capsize recovery, rigging, and launching, and is essential for building your independence on the water.

Pre-requisites and assumed knowledge
- Pre-requisite: RYA Adult Level 1
- Experience: We recommend at least 20 hours of sailing experience within the last 12 months (excluding the duration of your RYA Level 1 course) prior to booking this course.
Ability after course
By the end of the course, you will be able to sail independently in moderate conditions. You will have the skills to rig and launch your boat, sail confidently in all directions, and handle the boat safely. You will also be able to perform a capsize recovery and make sailing decisions under supervision.
