At Cobnor Activities Centre Trust we are committed to providing quality training experiences and believe our First Aid courses should be as practical as possible to facilitate learning and understanding.

This 16 hr (2 day) Certificate in Outdoor First Aid is suitable for supporting formal outdoor qualifications from national governing bodies to include Mountain Training, British Canoeing, Royal Yachting Association and others. This course is recognised throughout the UK for experienced outdoor instructors and practitioners who operate within remote locations. The course meets the requirements of the Institute for Outdoor Learning Statement of Good Practice for Outdoor First Aid Training Framework at Band 3. Practical and observational assessment is ongoing by the instructor each day, along with a final written assessment. A three-year Level 3 Award in Outdoor First Aid will be issued to the learner, subject to successful assessment. A range of methods are used for assessment to include practical exercises, informative questioning to include open and multiple-choice question papers. This certificate is valid for three years.
