The RYA Seamanship Course is designed for sailors looking to develop their boat-handling abilities in a variety of conditions. Over the course of two days, you will learn essential seamanship skills such as recovering a man overboard, stopping and reducing sail, picking up a mooring, and anchoring. These skills are critical for anyone looking to improve their confidence and competence when sailing in more challenging situations.
Course content
- Launching and recovering the boat in different conditions

Pre-requisites and assumed knowledge
- Required experience: Sailing skills to the standard of RYA Level 3 or Stage 4.
