RYA Logbook G4 which logs your progress through the RYA scheme is included in this course.

The course provides 2-day introduction to sailing for novices. The RYA Adult Level 1 Course will introduce you to sailing and teach you the basic knowhow of getting afloat, whilst under the supervision with ones of our experienced instructors. This course is the first step of the "RYA beginners Sailing Scheme". By the end of the course, you will know how to sail in all directions and how to successfully launch and recover the boat. By the end of the course, you will aim to be able to sail in light winds under supervision. These skills will be assessed, and if the individual demonstrates competence by the end of the course, they will be awarded their RYA Level 1. It is not uncommon for some participants to take the course more than once to ensure they feel confident on the water.

Children under 16 are welcome, but they may prefer to learn to sail through one of our RYA Youth Stage courses.

Wetsuits, buoyancy aids and a waterproof are provided by the centre.
