Improvers Sailing for Adults

Course introduction
The Improver Sailing Weekend is designed for sailors who already have basic sailing skills and are looking to refine and elevate their techniques. Over two days, you will reconnect with the sea and build on your previous experience in a supportive and dynamic environment, guided by expert instructors. This course is perfect for those who want to boost their confidence and sailing abilities on the water.

Course content

  • Improve sailing techniques, including tacking, gybing, and boat handling
  • Focus on refining skills from previous sailing experience
  • Develop more confidence in navigating a variety of conditions
  • Personalised tuition and advice tailored to individual needs
  • Gain expert tips and insights from experienced instructors

Pre-requisites and assumed knowledge

  • No formal sailing qualification required, but a basic understanding of sailing is needed. For beginners, we recommend starting with the Adults on the Water sessions.

Ability after course
By the end of this course, you will have refined your sailing skills and gained more confidence on the water. You will feel more comfortable managing a boat in a variety of conditions, and you'll be ready to take your sailing to the next level.
